Our Mission
At Novena Health Care, our mission is to provide quality person-centered services to people with developmental disabilities in Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia so they can function as independently as their capabilities will allow, live their own lives, and make their own choices and decisions about their lives. Whether we are serving an adult with developmental, cognitive or intellectual disability or children or young adults with special needs at home, we help people reach their highest level of independence.

Developmental disability is a term used to describe life-long, disabilities attributable to mental and/or physical or combination of mental and physical impairments.
